President’s Message
Hi, Brad Smith here, President of the Renfrew Agricultural Society. I am so happy to invite everyone to the 170th Renfrew Fair, September 4th to 7th. Our directors, volunteers and sponsors have worked a pile of hours and days to improve the grounds to bring you the 2025 fair.
As with most businesses, we have had our challenges from hydro to government legislation and rule changes, but with your help and support we hope to have made this a great family fair.
Thursday, September 4th, we have the popular truck and tractor pull in front of our newer beer garden area and Robertson Amusements start operation at 5 p.m. and continue to entertain all weekend. A BMX show will be held on Friday and the ever popular demolition derby will be Saturday evening.
A large assortment of exciting food vendors will be on site to tempt your diet!
Music entertainment will be in the Armouries with a beer garden and fantastic entertainment. Valley Heritage Radio will again be giving you great local talent on the red stage. Agriculture is a large part of the Renfrew Fair – cattle shows, 4-H shows and the main event is the steer, lamb and hog sale Saturday at 6 p.m. This is a must see and support event.
Heavy horse shows with six horse hitches and more will be held on Friday and Saturday. A heavy horse pull and pony pull will be held on Sunday. Light horse shows will be held on Friday and Sunday.
On behalf of the sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and volunteer directors, I welcome you to the 2025 Renfrew Fair.
May the weather be with us!
Brad Smith,
President
Homecraft President’s Message
On behalf of the Homecraft Division, we would like to welcome all to the 170th Renfrew Fair, “The Greatest Fair In The Ottawa Valley”. Thank you to all our Directors and Volunteers for the hours they contribute to our fair. The fair would not be possible without all our volunteers. Each year we are pleased to display the work of all our exhibitors in needlework and crafts, floriculture, baking, hobbies, photography, woodworking, art, bottled goods, junior fair, 4-H, honey, maple syrup and agricultural products. Please take the time to read through the prize book to check out anything new and any changes – there is something for everyone!
