PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
The Renfrew Fair Board, Directors, Volunteers and sponsors have worked long days together to bring you the 2024 Renfrew Fair. Without the support of these volunteers, I as President could not invite everyone to the 169th Renfrew Fair. The Fair runs from Thursday September 5th to Sunday September 8th. We have secured arranged for a Truck and Tractor Pull Thursday evening, BMX thrill show Friday evening, Demolition Derby Saturday at 7pm. You will be able to take in these events from our newly renovated beer garden beside the grandstand or from bleachers and the grandstand. Robertson’s Amusements will bring you a large variety of rides for all ages of attendees, along with an assortment of excellent food vendors. Music entertainment will be inside the Armouries with a beer garden and a great line up of entertainers. Heritage Radio will again provide entertainment and live radio broadcasts from the Heritage Radio stage. Agriculture is as big a part of the Renfrew Fair as ever. Cattle shows hosting Hereferd, Charolais, Simmental, Shorthorn, Maine Anjou, Angus and Limousin classes. 4-H shows will be held on Friday and Saturday. The main event are Steer, Lamb and Hog sale will be held Saturday at 6pm. You have to take this in and support our young farmers. Heavy Horse shows up to six horse hitches to miniature shows will be held both Friday and Saturday. Heavy Horse and Pony Pull will start at 10am on Sunday in the Heavy Horse ring with participants from Ontario and Quebec. HOMECRAFT PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
On behalf of the Homecraft Division, I would like to welcome you to the 169th Renfrew Fair. Shortly after the close of each year’s fair, the Directors start reviewing and updating the various categories for you to exhibit in. Thank you to all our Directors and Volunteers for the hours they contribute to our fair. The fair would not be possible without all our volunteers. We are very proud to display the work of all our exhibitors in needlework and crafts, floriculture, baking, hobbies, photography, woodworking, art, bottled goods, junior fair, school work, 4-H, honey, maple syrup and agricultural products. We look forward to new exhibitors and thank our returning exhibitors. Please take time to read through the prize book to check out anything new or any changes.
